How It Works

The Innovation Engineering Fundamentals Course is taught using our patent-pending Cycles to Mastery teaching method (digital/lab/application/experience/reflection). It’s a way of teaching that accelerates the transfer of knowledge, helping participants feel confident in their new skills faster than traditional teaching methods.

Step One: 1/2 Day of Online Digital Classes

Before attending the Fundamentals session you use your private Innovation Engineering Labs portal to complete about 1/2 day of digital classes on the fundamentals of how to create, communicate, and commercialize meaningfully unique solutions to your challenges. You can watch the short classes on your computer, phone, or tablet.

Step Three: Application to Your Work

You’ll get started applying the new mindset, systems, and tools to your work – connecting the dots from innovation theory into practical application. You’ll think deepr about systems you can improve and how you can create solutions, define them, and get qualitative and quantitative feedback on your ideas to improve them – FAST.

Step Two: 2 Days of Practical Experience

Because you learned the content in the digital classes, you are ready to make the learning real in the hands-on, 2-day lab class – NO boring lectures! The interactive experiences in the live class cover the content of the Innovation Engineering Fundmentals course taught on university campuses in a way that is relevant to your work.

Step Four: 60 Days of Living it & Certification

During the 60 days after the session, complete your coursework and real world application project to achieve Innovation Engineering Blue Belt certification. Your private Innovation Engineering Labs portal makes this painless, as it lets you easily connect with your classmates, your instructors, and others using advanced project management, collaboration, and creative tools.

While most of the digital classes are approximately 7 minutes long, this first class in the series is a bit longer and teaches participants the who, what, why, and how of the Innovation Engineering Fundamentals Course.

Cost

The total cost for the Training + Tools + Certification Coaching, which includes 1/2 day of online classes, 2 in-class days, and 2 months of coaching on experience assignments that apply to your real work, is $2995 per person.
