The aha moment going through fundamentals again is that when I was reintroduced to topics I hadn’t visited in a while, I found myself thinking “this would have been useful for that one blue card, that other workshop, that problem at my desk right now…”

PARTICIPANT TESTIMONIALS
“Going through this material a second time has allowed me to keep pace and not just skim the surface, but think critically about familiar concepts. While I appreciated (and in some ways enjoyed) the “boot camp” style of my original Innovation College experience, I recall it as mostly a desperate attempt to not fall behind and be lost. This pass allowed me to see the purpose behind the design of many of the tools and processes, and how they are all linked and feed off each other as a system. These realizations help me understand the system better and should improve my practice as a result.”
“Having been through this training before, I can honestly say that it teaches valuable skills and, like any skills, they need to be practiced otherwise they’ll atrophy. Personally, I found myself relearning and reactivating some valuable muscle memory throughout this course. I liken it to getting back on a bike after not having ridden for a few years. Yes, you never forget how to ride – hints the phrase, ‘it’s like riding a bike.’ However, after you get back on and start peddling, it feels awkward – maybe even painful at times (and you’re definitely going to be sore afterward.) With the IE system of thinking and action, it’s not just enough to understand the broader philosophy or process – this is something you have to ‘DO’ and do often.”
